UW-EAU CLAIRE WATERFRONT
Eau Claire, WI, USA
Over the past few years UW-Eau Claire’s waterfront has transformed from what use to be a utilitarian road into a grand promenade filled prairie and rain gardens, outdoor classrooms, overlooks, and plazas. Each of these spaces are highlighted with custom fire pits, decorative lighting, water features, native stone, and signature gateway features. Public participation was critical to the success of the project, and in the end determined the best way to create a unified campus connection to the historic Chippewa River.
